Outfit Of The Day, 30 March 2020 (Quarantine-O-Ween)

To combat the bleakness of being stuck indoors due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and to have fun, some fans of Halloween decided to make 31 March 2020 'Quarantine-O-Ween'; an excuse to dress up and decorate. I didn't want to confuse the kids too much with decorations, but at least I did my hair and put on makeup today.

I've decided to wear a spiderweb-print skirt, a plain black t-shirt and a pin-striped jacket (decorated with spooky, Halloween-themed and Gothic Pins). The skirt and the jacket were second hand purchases ages ago, and no particular brand; I wear the skirt a lot and would love to have a spare, so I might have to learn to sew one day.

The bat necklace and earrings I'm wearing are ones I've constructed and have for sale in my Etsy shop. All the colours in my hair - except the dyed black base - are clip-in or tie-on extensions which I prepared years ago and still pop in to go out (as rare as that is, nowadays). I have made the braids in about 8 different colourways to match my outfits, and I'm wearing a different set on this website's About Me page.

Something you can't see in these pictures: I am also wearing the Beistle/Creepy Co. Halloween cat socks I bought from October 31st (see the photo on that page).

It's been really nice to have an excuse to get dressed up today; it does make a difference to how I feel about myself, and I will try to do it more if we have to stay indoors for a long period. Whatever you're doing, I hope you are well, and I wish you a happy Quarantine-O-Ween.
